School Uniform
At Laceby Acres Academy, the children are proud to wear their school uniform.
The school uniform is compulsory. The school's colours are black and red. The children wear black trousers or a black skirt/pinafore, along with a red sweatshirt or cardigan. These are worn with a white polo shirt. Black shoes, plain black trainers, or black boots should be worn as suitable footwear. These items can be worn all year round.
Jumpers and Cardigans with the logo can be purchased from Uniform Direct in Grimsby Town Centre; or can be purchased online from the following link. Uniform Direct also offer non-branded White Polo Shirts that can be bought as a twin pack. Children are more than welcome to wear a plain red jumper or cardigan that does not have the logo on; these can be bought from any local outlet.
Pupils who are in receipt of Pupil Premium are eligible to receive 1 free school sweatshirt/cardigan per year.
We ask for all parents to please label their children's clothes and shows. This makes identifying the owner of any lost items of clothing much easier.
It is not appropriate to send your child in jeans or leisure/sportswear.
Physical Education and Games
All children should have their PE kit in school. The school PE kit is a red t-shirt/polo shirt, with black shorts and change of trainers or plimsolls. Like before, Uniform Direct offer non-branded Red Polo Shirts that can be bought as a twin pack.
A hair bobble should be provided for children with long hair.
We recommend the removal of earrings on PE days if they are not able to do so themselves, as staff are not permitted to do this. However, if this is not possible, please provide plasters to cover the earrings. Plasters will not be provided by the school. If earrings are not removed/plasters not provided, your child will not be permitted to take part in the PE lesson.
It is not appropriate to wear football kits (shirt, shorts) for PE.
